Meet Katlin & The Team

Meet Katlin, Owner, Photographer

Hi there!

Im Katlin! A wife, mama, loss mama, and photographer. I am blessed with a wonderful husband, Alex, our two beautiful daughters Karleigh and Kinleigh, a wonderful son Theo, three lazy mutts, and a turtle. We are also a loss family. We lost our sweet son Kohen September of 2019 due to complications of trisomy 18 and downs syndrome.

I have been holding a camera since middle school when my grandfather mailed me my first DSLR for a church trip and I fell in love. There have not been many days people have seen me without a camera in my hand since.

In 2017 I formed Katlin Dodgion Photography LLC. I have been blessed to have grown so much with this business and have some of the best clients. Along this journey, I branded myself as a motherhood photographer - shooting all things birth to baby. During that time, I also was experiencing motherhood in many ways myself. Apart of that was the loss of my son, Kohen, in 2019. While I love the smell of those fresh baby heads, I also have fallen in love with capturing boudoir clients and helping those clients see the beauty they hold.

I am also an avid lover of sweet tea, the mountains and on Thursday’s you’ll find me parked by a TV for the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy. I mean who could not love McDreamy and McSteamy, am I right?!

Having kids of my own, I understand the importance of capturing every moment as they go by way to quickly. As a motherhood photographer, I want to be able to capture those sweet moments in life that seem to go by way to quick. Those raw, unfiltered moments are some of the hidden gems in life. As a boudoir photographer, I want to show women how beautiful they are from the inside out and continue to build confidence in those women long after they leave my studio doors.

Let’s go grab some coffee, or tacos if thats your thing, and chat about your life as viewed behind my lens.

Xoxo,

Katlin

Meet Kara Sullivan, Hair & Makeup Artist

Kara joined the Katlin Dodgion Photography team in the fall of 2023 after she had filled in a few times for makeup at the studio.

Kara is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a beautiful daughter who is the light of their lives. Kara works full time accounting and part time doing what she loves most…makeup!

Kara found a love for all things beauty at a very young age and began learning as much as she could about the art of makeup. She started out as a freelance makeup artist in 2013 for proms and friend’s weddings. Kara quickly realized how passionate she was about doing makeup on others and used that passion to help women feel beautiful and confident for all occasions.

Kara likes to get to know each client individually and create looks that enhance their natural features. She believe communication is very important when getting your makeup done for your special occasion to achieve your desired look.
